Amanda’s Inspiration

This painting was inspired by the feeling of standing amongst lavender at the end of a warm summer day, when the light turns golden and everything seems to glow. I wanted to capture the movement of the lavender bending in the breeze, the soft hum of bees moving from flower to flower, and that brief, peaceful moment when the garden feels completely alive.

The contrast of rich purples, deep greens and warm sunlight reflects what I love most about nature — its abundance, energy and quiet beauty. For me, this painting is a little celebration of summer, pollinators and those simple moments outdoors that make us stop and notice how much wonder is all around us.
