Rose Garden | Original Oil Mixed Media Painting

Rose Garden is an original oil mixed media painting filled with softly layered pink, peach and coral roses growing through rich blue-green foliage.

The flowers emerge from expressive marks and textured layers rather than sitting within a formal arrangement, creating the feeling of discovering roses growing freely in a garden. A small bee tucked among the flowers adds another living presence to the scene.

Warm floral tones meet cooler turquoise and green passages, giving the painting a romantic softness without losing the wildness that runs throughout The Living Garden.

Amanda’s Inspiration

I didn't want to paint perfect roses arranged in a vase. I wanted these roses to feel as though they were still growing.

There is something very different about finding a rose in a garden, surrounded by leaves, insects, shadows and other plants. It becomes part of a much bigger world.

The little bee is an important detail for me. These paintings are as much about the relationships within nature as they are about individual flowers.

Rose Garden celebrates beauty that hasn't been overly controlled. Soft, abundant, imperfect and alive.

It forms part of The Living Garden, my collection celebrating the colour and quiet wonder of the natural world.
