Cosmos Glow | Original Oil Mixed Media Painting

Cosmos Glow is an original oil mixed media floral painting alive with pink cosmos, turquoise atmosphere and butterflies moving through the flowers. Deep raspberry and crimson centres give the blossoms richness while loose stems and flashes of colour create the feeling of a garden growing freely in every direction.

Soft areas dissolve into expressive marks while the more developed flowers emerge from the surface, giving the painting both depth and movement.

Amanda’s Inspiration

Cosmos seem to dance even when the air is almost still. Their long stems bend, overlap and reach towards the light, creating a rhythm that feels both delicate and completely untamed.

I wanted Cosmos Glow to hold that energy.

The butterflies became another layer of movement, appearing between the flowers almost as quickly as they disappear. Against the turquoise and green of the garden, the pinks seem to glow.

For me, this painting is about those brief summer moments when colour, movement and light suddenly come together and an ordinary garden feels extraordinary.

Part of The Living Garden, my collection inspired by the beauty and interconnected life found among flowers.
